Here is what needs to happen: bring a stool sample and any records you were given to your first Vet visit, Rio will get his next DHPP vaccine 3-4 weeks after his first one was given by the breeder. If the breeder did not start his vaccines he needs to start them by 7-8 weeks of age. Petco will start them for you and tell you when you need to return. They get about 3-4 DHPP vaccines 3-4 weeks apart. The Rabies vaccine is given around 4 months of age, depending on the laws in your county. I hope this helps and I wish you and Rio the best!

I'm assuming your considering getting a Yorkie puppy, and if so you can get her off to a good start by selecting a breeder that takes measures to properly socialize the puppies before they leave their mother. This includes exposing them to humans of all sizes, so that they are comfortable with people. As soon as your puppy has had all of his/her puppy shots (16 weeks) you can enroll in a "puppy kindergarten" class, and this helps to establish good behavior and manners from the start.

Some puppies are harder to manage than others and the trainer can provide not only guidance but also teach you techniques for how to get Bailey to act the way you want her too. These behaviors are not unusual for a puppy but training does need to begin ASAP and remain consistent. I believe it helps it get them used to frequent grooming while they are still young and more impressionable. I find they are not scared to go as adults, if they have been exposed to it since a young age. The hair clipping can be less (and faster) as puppies as opposed to waiting until she has a long matted coat at a year of age. This will make her first grooming experience more enjoyable.
