You can loosely bandage it with a gauze bandage. Make sure the bandage does not cut of blood flow to the lower leg. You could also wrap the leg in a towel and then tape the towel so it stays on. You can also get some Yunnan Baiyao powder and sprinkle it on the ulcer to stop the bleeding. This should be available from a chinese herb shop, organic shops and even your pharmacy.

Unfortunately there isn't really any way to shrink or remove a tumor without surgery, I have had some veterinarians have some luck in helping to stop bleeding from tumors with a Chinese medicine called yunnan baiyao. I would ask your vet if they feel this would be useful for your dog if the tumor is bleeding.

Your poor pup! He could really hurt himself if he keeps trying to chew it off, and the area can become infected. The tumor will likely still keep growing and causing him these issues, so I recommend taking him into a vet today. This tumor needs to be removed so that he stops trying to chew it off. I am not familiar with your previous questions regarding Sweetie but if the tumor is ulcerated, that is not typically a good sign. It sounds like tumor needs to be removed surgically. It is a bit difficult to advise you without seeing the tumor myself and I'm not 100% sure what your question is exactly. You want us to suggest something meaning what? To apply topically to the tumor? For bandaging? To stop the bleeding? I'm not exactly sure what you are looking for. If the tumor is ulcerated she is most likely going to need to get some antibiotics. It is also very difficult to give you advice if we don't know your location. He is not too old for anesthesia unless there is an underlying health problem. Keeping it wrapped can help but you will have to make times in the day for it to air out for 30-60 minutes to help. You can apply a cold compress to help also When the wrap is odd make sure the area is well padded so it won’t irritate it more You can also look into baby socks around the feet snhe can’t scratch it or keep a shirt in that covers the elbow to protect it a little more.

Hi, thanks for using Petco Pet Education Center, formerly Petcoach! Poor Bonnie! Is Bonnie otherwise healthy? No hear murmur and normal blood work? How big is this bleeding mass? Personally I do not think that age is a disease. If Bonnie is otherwise in good health and the mass isn't huge I think you should consider removing it. If your Vet isn't comfortable you can see a different Dr with in the practice or another Vet. If you do not want to take it off you can try a light bandage around the neck until it hopefully scabs over. I wish you the best!

Place an e-collar (cone) on Pardi to prevent licking. Gently clean with a dilute chlorhexidine solution. You can apply a non stick pad and bandage lightly, but you will need to change the bandage when it becomes moist or dirty. There are no OC medications you can safely give for pain management. See your veterinarian as soon as you are able.
