My puppy is very weak despite eating regularly. What should I do?

Seeing that your puppy is quite young, it is possible that he is dealing with some infectious disease such as Parvo or Distemper. I would have him examined by a veterinarian as soon as possible so that the most appropriate diagnostic and treatment recommendations can be made. At 2 months of age, this has me worried that he may be battling an infection such as Parvo virus. He may also be dehydrated if he is weak and is likely in need of fluid therapy for rehydration. I would recommend having him examined by a veterinarian so that the most appropriate diagnostic and treatment recommendations can be made. I would have him parvo tested and have his blood tested to see if there are any other abnormalities. Subcutaneous fluids would certainly help him feel better and he may be so dehydrated the IV fluids may be the best option for him. Hello there! It sounds like Brownie needs veterinary help at this point. While loose skin is common in puppies and is not necessarily abnormal, inactivity in a dog this young is not normal and may indicate a health problem. I'm assuming that by ORS, you mean oral rehydrating solution, like Gatorade or Pedialyte. This makes me think that you are concerned about dehydration. Loose skin does not necessarily indicate dehydration, but skin that does not return to its normal state after being pinched could indicate poor skin turgor, which may result from dehydration. A small amount of rehdyrating solution will probably not hurt Brownie, but it is also important to figure out why he isn't feeling well. I do not recommend changing his food suddenly as this may cause gastrointestinal upset, which could lead to diarrhea and further dehydration. If you plan on changing his food, you should do so slowly over a week's time to allow his system to adjust. I strongly suggest bringing Brownie to the vet to be checked out for parasites or other infections that may be causing his lethargy. Puppies of this age and size are particularly susceptible to disease, so a vet workup can prevent further decline. Good luck, and I hope that Brownie gets well soon!

Have him examined by a veterinarian. A stool sample should be rechecked for intestinal parasites or bacterial overgrowth. Puppies typically require multiple deworming to clear parasites. I recommend taking a fresh stool sample to the vet to check for parasites and parvovirus. I would not recommend apple juice but Pedialyte (not grape) is ok for fluids. He can have canned puppy food too as long as he has teeth. You can mix the formula with the canned food but he shouldn't need it at his age. Good luck and kisses to Oreo!

I am sorry Omaze isn’t feeling well. Your description that isnhe weak has me concerned that he may be anemic. If he hasn’t been dewormed yet I would highly recommend a broad spectrum deworming. I am sorry Queen isn't feeling well. Since she is not eating and acting weak, I would not give her more time, I would get her to a vet right away. They need to check for parasites and parvovirus. Bring a fresh stool sample so they can check her out and get her treated. Good luck and kisses to Queen!
