My puppy stung by wasp, limping, not eating. Does she need a vet?

Or, the [limping](https://www.petcoach.co/dog/condition/lameness-1/) and vomiting may be unrelated problems. If she has vomited more than 7 times in the last half hour, this is a sign that something is very wrong - I would recommend having her examined by a vet immediately to diagnose the problem and get her started on appropriate treatment.

Thank you for submitting your question regarding Peaches. If she ate a wasp or bee, I would except her muzzle to be quite swollen. She will need to see a veterinarian as she seems uncomfortable. Small breed dogs are prone to neck and back pain. Her veterinarian will examine to determine if this is the case. If so, she may need x-rays. Pain medications, anti-inflammatories and muscle relaxers are commonly prescribed. In the meantime, keep her quiet and carry her if necessary. No, I would not recommend giving her aspirin - this is not safe for use in dogs, and will interfere with your veterinarian's ability to treat her appropriately if she needs to see the vet for her sting. If the area is mildly swollen and sore but your pup is otherwise acting normal, you shouldn't need to do anything - just like a human with a wasp or bee sting, it will be sore for a few days but should resolve on its own. If she seems excessively painful, or if she has significant swelling or any other symptoms such as vomiting, hives, or difficulty breathing, then I would recommend taking her to the vet to be seen as these can be signs of a more serious reaction.

I always advise that if an abnormal sign or behavior persists, worsens or other signs develop to always have your pet evaluated by your veterinarian right away. The fall may have caused some soft tissue/bone injuries or even internal injuries that are causing her problems. Also, she could be suffering from something unrelated to the fall. Your vet can examine her after gathering a history and then advise you on diagnostics/treatment. Possible tests include fecal/blood/urine tests and x-rays. Good luck

Poor Grizzly! If he is not wanting to eat then he should be seen by a vet for treatment. Your vet can give him an infection of an anti-histamine and a corticosteroid to help with the swelling and discomfort.

You absolutely need to be worried. Profuse vomiting and diarrhea are signs of severe allergic reaction- which I am even more concerned about if there were bees. There are other explanations but allergic reactions can be life-threatening, especially if all this has already happened. I would take her to the emergency clinic immediately for treatment. Dogs can be allergic to bees and stings will swell. It could be possible that she was stung by a bee, but my answer is still the same, she needs emergency veterinary care now. Swelling from bee stings in the mouth can and do cause the airways to be blocked off, leading to respiratory distress and death. She sounds very ill, and if there was anything you could do at home for her, I would tell you. There honestly isn't, she needs to see a vet right away.
