My puppy is lethargic, not eating, and fell. Should I see a vet?

Updated on September 23rd, 2025

3 weeks back, 5 pups were born. 4 of them are male and one of them is female. The mother does not feed them so we feed them puppy replacement milk. The male pups are really playful and loves roaming around the room. The female is a bit dull and does not show interest in playing with her brothers. She does not even show interest in eating, sleeps a lot and keeps on sitting in the same place.2 weeks back she fell down from a high distance. Is there any health issues with her and we need to see vet?

Hi and thanks for using Petco Pet Education Center, formerly Petcoach! Sorry to hear about the puppy. I always advise that if an abnormal sign or behavior persists, worsens or other signs develop to always have your pet evaluated by your veterinarian right away. The fall may have caused some soft tissue/bone injuries or even internal injuries that are causing her problems. Also, she could be suffering from something unrelated to the fall. Your vet can examine her after gathering a history and then advise you on diagnostics/treatment. Possible tests include fecal/blood/urine tests and x-rays. Good luck
