Why isn't my new 3-month-old puppy eating much? Is it normal?

Some dogs are not vocal due to their personalities. Others will take time to adjust and get comfortable in their new environment. It can be very stressful and scary for little ones to go to a new home, so it takes some time for their personality to shine. At 3 pounds, his stomach is not big enough to hold a lot of food. He should be feed 3-4 times a day to maintain the blood sugar. Once he is bigger you can decrease it back to twice a day. Stress and anxiety can also affect the appetite. Not every dog goes to the bathroom on that schedule. Take him out after he eats, then every 30 minutes to an hour until he gets good control and the concept of house training. If he is playing and stops to sniff and circle, then he needs to go. If you notice any bloody diarrhea or vomiting or he does not eat at all and seems weak, then i would get him checked right away

It can be stressful for a puppy to move into a new home, so they can react by not eating or being vey active. Keep offering Ozzie food, and if he still isn't eating in 24 hours, then I would have him seen by a vet for a health check. Even though she is drinking, it is not likely enough. The stress of coming to new home can affect a puppy's appetite, but you need to ensure she is not sick. She will likely need fecal testing and deworming to start. Her veterinarian will make recommendations based on these and her exam results. In the meantime, continue encouraging her to eat. It's not an issue, just take him to the vet and have him vaccinated, he will need at least two vaccinations 4 weeks apart. regarding the food- try to switch to a different brand of food such as Royal canin.

Sometimes puppies don’t have a great appetite when they first come home to a new environment. If you don’t know what he was eating before you got him you may want to find out so you can continue with that food. You could also try adding some canned food to tempt him. If he’s had any vomiting or diarrhea, or if his appetite does not improve in a day or two I’d recommend seeing your vet for an exam. Intestinal parasites and several hereditary diseases could cause a decrease in appetite and it’s a good idea to see a vet for a general health check up when you get a new puppy.

In terms of the appetite, this is sometimes not uncommon in puppies when they are in their new environment. I recommend that you continue to monitor him for now, especially if you just got him.
