My new 2-month-old puppy isn't eating or pottying. Is this normal?

I bought a Pomeranian yorkie yesterday and he's only 2 months. He doesn't speak a lot, he doesn't eat a lot and he doesn't use the restroom 20 minutes after eating like I've googled

Some dogs are not vocal due to their personalities. Others will take time to adjust and get comfortable in their new environment. It can be very stressful and scary for little ones to go to a new home, so it takes some time for their personality to shine.
At 3 pounds, his stomach is not big enough to hold a lot of food. He should be feed 3-4 times a day to maintain the blood sugar. Once he is bigger you can decrease it back to twice a day. Stress and anxiety can also affect the appetite.
Not every dog goes to the bathroom on that schedule. Take him out after he eats, then every 30 minutes to an hour until he gets good control and the concept of house training. If he is playing and stops to sniff and circle, then he needs to go.
If you notice any bloody diarrhea or vomiting or he does not eat at all and seems weak, then i would get him checked right away

It is ok if your puppy does not eat all in the first days at its new home. This is a very stressful time. I suggest , since you only just got your puppy, to take him to a vet next week for a wellness check to make sure he is healthy. You can then also schedule the remaining vaccinations and worming and make sure he has no congenital defects or other health problems. Should your puppy still not eat properly by then, you can address that with your vet.

Puppies tend to play hard and sleep hard. He maybe be exhausted from being up all night. If he is not eating well you can always give him a little karo syrup as small dogs can get lie blood sugar. Since he is only 5 lbs his stomach is smaller than a tennis ball so it won't take much to fill him up. as long as he is eating and drinking, you can give him time to adjust to your new routine and schedule. If he stops eating or you notice vomiting to diarrhea then he needs to be checked.

Unfortunately, this is not normal behavior for a young puppy and is pretty concerning. At less than two months old, your puppy needs to eat regularly or he risks having low blood sugar, which can cause serious health problems. Vomiting is not typically caused by stress and all these signs make me worry about a more serious illness. Please have him seen by a veterinarian right away because his lack of appetite and vomiting are very serious.

My 8-week-old puppy isn't eating and has runny poop. Is this normal?

Poor guy. He may be stressed out from being in a new environment. Offer him som boiled plain chicken and rice to see if you can entice him to eat. Also adding in 1-2 tsp of canned pumpkin (not the pie filling) in his food can help firm his stool if it is stress related. Continue to monitor him for the next 24 hrs for any change. It may take him a day or two to get acclimated to you. However, if he goes beyond 24 hrs without eating and seems lethargic or sick, its best to take him to your vet for a wellness check. My young puppy isn't pooping or eating much. Should I go to the ER?

That is very young for a puppy to be adopted out. Ideally, it should have been at least 8 weeks old before being adopted. If she isn't eating much, she won't be defecating much either. You can try warming the food or mixing in some plain baby food (no onion, no garlic) to stimulate her appetite. An exam for any new pet is always recommended to confirm good health or to diagnose and treat any preexisting conditions. Unless she is lethargic, not eating all, is vomiting or has diarrhea, then she can probably see your regular veterinarian today or tomorrow.

And in terms of the food -- he should be willing to eat wet food, if not dry food, at this age. So if he's not, I would highly recommend a check up with your vet to make sure everything looks ok. He may just need more time to adjust, but with such a young guy, he can get low blood sugar and dehydration very quickly, so it's important to act sooner rather than later.
