My puppy has a cold and won't touch her food. What should I do?

I would try feeding her boiled chicken, hamburger, or turkey and rice. You can also try feeding her things like scrambled eggs, low-fat cottage cheese, or chicken baby food. The other thing I would try is buying some canned puppy food for her and adding warm water to it to make it into a soup for her. Anything you can add some water to will help to keep her somewhat hydrated. You can also offer her low-sodium chicken broth for some fluids.

Ideally, she should be physically examined by your veterinarian to diagnose and treat any illness or injury. As long as she is behaving normally though, you can try warming her food, adding in a bit of baby food or adding in some warm water. You can also offer unflavored PediaLyte. If she is lethargic, vomiting or has diarrhea, then she should definitely be seen by a veterinarian.

You can try feeding him a bland diet of boiled white meat chicken (no bones) and white rice in small amounts several times a day for a couple of days to see if that helps. Then slowly add back in his normal diet. If he still is acting lethargic after this, then I would have him seen by a vet.
