Puppy chewed cord, now has bloody mouth. Is it an electrical burn?

Updated on September 23rd, 2025

Pet's info: Dog | Mixed Breed | Female | unspayed

3 days ago my puppy was chewing on a cord and got shocked , she ran and was crying. Nothing big happened she seemed fine, but today i noticed something in her mouth , i dont know if its from a cat /dog she plays and the dogs avoid her and leave one plays with her but is aggresive , we let her out and she seems okay when she comes back. So what is this in her mouth ? It has blood and it looks bad.

That looks like a burn from biting on the electrical cord. The soft tissues in her mouth can take a couple of days to show the wound from the electric shock. Take her to the vet tomorrow for a full exam, they will pay particular attention to her mouth and lungs. There are no home remedies that i recommend for this.
