My dog chewed a phone cord. Is she okay from electric shock?

Pet's info: Dog | Border Collie | Female | spayed | 1 year and 2 months old | 43 lbs

My 13 month old border collie Do you through my phone cord while it was plugged in to a surge protector. I induced vomiting bc she swallowed some pieces but was concerned about electricity. Emergency vet says she will be fine but wanted to be sure. She is playing, and drinking water. I haven’t given. Her any food

Thank you for contacting Petco Pet Education Center, formerly Petcoach with your question about Luna. Oh no, that wasn't good! You can check her mouth to see if you see any burns in there, but you would have known right away if she was electrocuted from chewing this cord. I suspect she may be ok, and I would feed her. I hope this helps!
