Puppy's tongue stuck to window and bleeding? What should I do?

There isn't much that can be done with some bleeding from the tongue, this is just something that you will have to wait patiently until the bleeding stops, it usually does within the hour. If the bleeding is severe and doesn't' seem to stop, then I would advise to take your dog to the vet so they can sedate him and sop the bleeding.

There isn't much you can do for irritation to the tongue. Thankfully tongues heal very quickly. If Toby seems painful, then he would need prescription pain medications since human OTC pain meds are not safe in pets. If he seems ill, he may need prescription antibiotics. You can feed soft food instead of hard food to avoid further irritation. I am more concerned about the cause of the wound to his tongue. If this is from biting an electrical cord, dogs can develop much more serious wounds in the following days and weeks that can involved the gums, cheeks, teeth, and even the lungs.

I would probably just keep an eye on it for now. Tongues bleed really badly but heal very fast. Check it a few times a day to make sure it is not swelling or having discharge that would require antibiotics or pain medicine. Also, in case you didn't know hydrogen peroxide will cause them to vomit if swallowed so be aware of that.

It could be a loose tooth. Do not give her any human pain medications, as many are toxic to dogs and can be fatal if given. See if she will let you look at her mouth gently so you can try to stop the bleeding if possible. If not, don't push it. Do not give her any food tonight or in the morning, and get her into a vet asap. She can have water.

I would recommend a cold pack for 10 to 15 minutes 2 to 3 times per day until resolved. I would also feed only soft food. I hope this helps guide you in the right direction! There is most likely a wound in the mouth which is why he is drooling. I highly recommend having him evaluated by a veterinarian for further assessment and treatment. Thank you for submitting your question regarding Bentley. It is worth having him evaluated by his veterinarian to determine if his paws require treatment. If they are painful, this will make him not want you to put anything over them. He may need antibiotics and pain medications for them to heal. Otherwise, is there any place else you can take him to go potty? Could you carry him across the icy area to snowy or grassy place? You can buy protective hiking boots, but as with the socks I am not sure if he would wear them. You can go slowly and give treats while applying them. In the meantime, do not give any over-the-counter pain medications as these can be toxic to dogs. I hope this information helps!
