My puppy barks all night in his crate. Should I move it to my room?

Just give it more time. He is getting used to a new place away from constant company of other puppies. It may take several more days or even weeks for him to learn to sleep through the night. You may need to take Leo outside at least once in the middle of the night. A good rule of thumb for how long puppies can "hold it" is the age in months plus 1. Leo is 2 months old, so you should only expect him to hold it for 3 or 4 hours. Set an alarm and wake up to take him outside on a leash. No play time, no talking, just outside and walk in circles until he goes then straight back into his kennel. Good luck! Puppies are a lot of work but so worth it!

It will take time to fully train Tank. If he is only 2 months old he can really only hold his urine for about 3 hours. If he starts to whine in his crate at night I would recommend walking him when he starts to whine. When you take him outside I would recommend walking him on a leash. This is because puppies are easily distracted. Once he urinates +/- defecates he can have off leash time in the backyard. With crate training remember anytime you cannot have your eyes on him 100% of the time he should be in the crate. Also if you take Tank outside and he doesn't go to the bathroom I always recommend putting Tank back in the crate for 20 minutes. After 20 minutes take Tank back outside to try again. It takes time and patience to train a puppy, but if you are consistent it will pay off. This is not unusual behavior. Most puppies will outgrow this behavior but it will take time. Try to make the crate a positive place. Feed him in the crate only. Hide treats in the crate that he can discover. About 30 minutes before bed, play with him to make him more tired. Most pets will eventually come to like their crate and think of it as their own room but this generally will take a few weeks. Hang in there and best of luck.

It could be that bella has realized if she barks she gets attention from you all. She is barking to get taken outside or even just attention through the night. I would recommend trying to crate train her. This will allow her an area that is safe and only hers. The crate can be a really positive place . You can start off by putting her in it for short intervals and rewarding her going in and coming out. it is important to make the crate a happy place. You could also try just moving her to another room so she is not sleeping with you all.

At two months, Baxter likely needs out every 1-2 hours, so that would mean going out several times in the night and not just once. I would switch out the bedding with a towel or puppy pad that is easy to clean in case he has an accident in between. As he gets a bit older, he should be able to go longer in between outings.
