My puppy ate ointment. He's normal. Is it toxic or dangerous?

As there are hundreds of different types of antibiotics, you should try to tell us which ones where inside the tube or alternatively take Peanut straight to your veterinarian for a check up and symptomatic treatment to avoid intoxication. Hello. Thank you for using Petco Pet Education Center, formerly Petcoach. I do not see any ingredients in that product that should be toxic to Uzi. Personally, I would not be concerned. The worse thing that may happen is that he gets some diarrhea. As always though, if you are worried about him you should take him to your vet for an exam, especially if he starts to act like he isn't feeling well. Teddy will probably be fine, especially since it sounds like he ate very little of the Neosporin. However, I would be on the watch for vomiting or diarrhea, since these are the most common problems associated with ingesting medications. If he begins to have vomiting or diarrhea you made need to take hkm the veterinarian to treat those symptoms.

Overall it’s not toxic but it can cause some minor gastrointestinal upset depending on how much she actually ingested. This means she could have some mild vomiting and/or diarrhea. If you notice any of that then she should be examined by your vet.

If your dog did not eat the actual tube and only the content, there should be no problem as non of these ingredients is toxic. However, there is a possibility that Max may get diarrhea. If that happens, you can do the following: Take your dog off food for about 12 hrs, then feed bland food such as boiled rice with boiled white chicken meat in small quantities over several feeds a day. Do this for a day, then start replacing small quantities of rice with his normal food over the next two days until he is at the normal quantity of his regular food. If the diarrhea does not go away by the end of the third day, or your dog is lethargic and dehydrated,you will need to take your dog to a veterinarian for an exam.
