My 5-month-old puppy ate Vaseline. Is it toxic? What should I do?

Sawyer may develop a bit of diarrhea and/or vomiting but it should resolve quickly. You can buy protective booties to use on walks or you can use a paw cream such as Musher's Secret. It is a safe cream for pets and works great. You can order it online or buy it at most pet stores.

The oil isn't toxic, but it can cause vomiting and/or diarrhea. Some dogs can develop pancreatitis, which can cause illness that lasts for several days. If Narla is sick for more than 12-24 hours, she should get checked out by the vet. Her stools may be loose and greasy for a few days as the oil passes through.

A small thread shouldn’t cause a problem - damage can occur when a long piece of string or thread is ingested that gets stuck along the way. Vaseline is not necessarily toxic but I wouldn’t recommend giving any more even if Leon ingests more string. Vaseline is unlikely to help move anything through the gastrointestinal tract.

If Dahlia has cuts or has traumatized her paw pads I would recommend having her seen by a veterinarian to ensure that they do not require more aggressive treatment with antibiotics. Hope this helps!

Chapstick is mostly made of Vaseline which won’t hurt him. I’m sure he’s just being an active puppy. This is like having a toddler and you should puppy proof your home. He will get better once he’s older. In the meantime give him plenty of exercise so he’s very tired, and lots of toys that are safe for him.
