What if my puppy ate a whole tube of triple antibiotic ointment?

Depending on the amount that was in the tube, you may see vomiting, diarrhea, loss of appetite, bloody stool, abdominal pain or excessive thirst/urination. The plastic is the main issue indeed, if he didn't break it apart before eating it it might cause blockage in the intestines. take him to the vet, they will probably do an xray to see if the plastic tube is there indeed.

I'd be concerned in that if Cody ate parts of the tube, it could cause GI obstruction. In addition, the anti-fungal cream could cause some vomiting and diarrhea if there was some left in the tube. I'd monitor him for now, and if you do see any vomiting or diarrhea, withhold food for 12-24 hours, then feed a bland diet of boiled white meat chicken (no bones) and white rice in small amounts several times a day for a couple of days. Then slowly add back in his normal diet. If he continues to have vomiting and diarrhea while withholding food or on the bland diet, stops drinking water, starts vomiting water, or becomes very lethargic, I would have him seen by a vet. Hopefully though, he didn't eat any of the tube or ingest any remaining cream, and he will be just fine :-)

If you notice this, try taking away his food for 8 hours, and then start offering small, frequent meals of a bland diet such as boiled chicken and white rice. If Snowy becomes lethargic or disinterested in food, I would recommend taking him to the vet in case he needs further medical attention. In the future, when applying the cream, try to keep Snowy occupied with toys and play for about 10 minutes before letting him lick his skin. I recommend that Sammy go to the vet immediately. This is a very large steroid ingestion and potential complications include vomiting, diarrhea, pain, and bleeding stomach ulcers. She likely needs treatment including stomach protectants.
