Is Pedigree a good brand for my dog's dry food, wet food, or snacks?

Pedigree is pretty much junk food, as long as the label marks the animal the meat or fat comes from it's fine, if it is not specify it is a good reason to be suspicious. here are a few high quality foods: Orijen, Acana, Evolve and Taste of the wild.

I typically prefer Science Diet or Royal Canin as my food recommendations. As long as Simmi does well on the food, there is not a "best" food for any one dog. Some dogs may not do well on Science Diet or Royal Canin and do better on foods such as Pedigree. Preferably, it is my recommendation to have Simmi on Science Diet or Royal Canin if possible. Shimar is so cute!! I think as long as your are feeding a high quality commercial puppy food then she is getting all the nutrients she needs. My favorites are science diet, royal canin, Iams, and Purina. All of these have been around for a long time and have several studies to back up their product. I hope this helps!

Pedigree is a decent average diet. Higher quality foods such as Iams, Royal Canin or Science diet are a bit more expensive but the health benefits are worth it in the long run if you can feed it. Make sure to change any food gradually and once you pick a diet keep her on that food without table scraps or other foods.

Pedigree is better than Alpo in my opinion, and if that is the best option you have to feed Pocholo, there's nothing wrong with feeding him that. It's not harmful to feed him this, but I would make sure you are feeding him a puppy formulated food. Puppies need higher amounts of calories, protein, and calcium than adult dogs, and a puppy formulated food will give him that.

Thank you for submitting your question regarding your dog. Dog treats need to be given in moderation. The standard recommendation is that treats should only comprise 10% of a dog's diet. Personally, I think they should be less as so many dogs struggle with weight problems. This being said Pedigree treats are fine to give in small amounts. I hope this information helps!
