Is MovoFlex causing my dog's vomiting after starting the supplement?

If he vomited after gving this, then it is very likely he isn't going to tolerate this medication. I am not sure if you are giving human brand or pet brand, but always give pet formulated joint supplements as these are the proper dosage. Also you should try giving it with food if you haven't done so already. If after these adjustments he is still vomiting, then it is best to not continue giving this and consult with your vet about other options. Best of luck with your pet Tifo moving forward. Diarrhea and throwing up can have many causes. It is basically a problem with the stomach and intestines caused by a food over sensitivity, eating something that does not agree with the dog, intestinal parasites, bacterial infection, viral infection, the weather, food change, stress, etc.  I would fast Max for 12 hours and then put him on bland food for two days, such as boiled white rice and boiled white boneless chicken meat, fed in small quantities over several feeds and then transition back to his regular food slowly over a few days. If this does not clear up the diarrhea or if the vomiting increases, or if he gets lethargic, he needs to see a veterinarian for an exam as there may be something more serious such as an infection going on.

Oh no, how naughty of Bentley! While not overly common, it has been shown that overdoses of joint supplements can lead to liver damage. Unfortunately, there is not much information known about the specific dose of glucosamine that can lead to this liver insult. For this reason, I do recommend taking Bentley to an emergency vet fairly urgently. They will be able to check his current blood chemistry to check his liver values and will likely recommend hospitalization for monitoring, IV fluids, and liver support medications. It is possible that he is feeling nauseous from the Flagyl....that daily dose for a 23 lb dog is often split into two daily doses. It is also possible that he may have a stomach upset/or even an ulcer from the Novox, especially if it was given on an empty stomach. NSAIDs do have the potential of causing vomiting and diarrhea in sensitive dogs. A bland diet of boiled rice and chicken for 3-5 days plus a stomach coating medication called sucralfate daily for a few days +/- an antacid such as famotidine + subcutaneous fluids and bloodwork could be appropriate next steps. I’d recommend returning to your veterinarian or seeking a new vet if you are more comfortable with a new vet. Hopefully the lameness is no longer an issue and with relatively conservative management the vomiting and diarrhea can be resolved as well. Good luck!

That is a lot of supplements for your puppy, and if he's vomiting and lethargic it could be related to the meds, or to the injury. You didn't mention if any X-rays were taken, and falling from that great of a height can certainly cause broken bones or internal bleeding which could be causing puppy to continue moaning in pain and worsen in condition. Bringing him back in for further testing to rule out more serious injuries and see if his meds need changing is best.

I'm sorry to hear that Capi is having problem with his hip. Unfortunately, vomiting is one of the potential side effects of Vetprofen.
