Why is my Miniature Schnauzer's eye red and purple? What's wrong?

I would recommend that you have the vet check out that eye. It is very red and Minnie looks uncomfortable. I am not sure what could have caused it, but I am sure the vet can take a look and figure it out. They may need to use some tests to determine the cause so they can select an appropriate treatment.

I can see that the sclera (white part of the eye) does look a little red in your last picture. This could be from trauma but can also be seen with conjunctivitis or even a corneal ulcer. Given Mitzer's breed I would recommend seeing a vet to make sure the cornea does not appear affected.
