How do I find out what my poodle mix dog is truly mixed with?

However, if you want to know for sure, there are DNA test kits available for at home use. You take a cheek swab from the kit and mail it to the company. You collect a cheek swab and submit to it a laboratory. You recieve information of her genetic make up based on these results. I suspect she is a mix of several breeds such as Shih Tzu, Tibetan Terrier and possibly Jack Russell Terrier. I hope this information helps!

If you want to know more of an accurate determination, there are DNA tests that you can do such as the Wisdom Panel which are not expensive that will tell you what breed of dogs Snowball consists of.

It is difficult to say since she is young but a mix including a herding breed would be a guess. You can purchase a canine DNA kit online or in some pet stores. Most are easy and require a simple cheek swab to determine breed(s). More comprehensive (and expensive) DNA tests can be submitted by your veterinarian after a blood sample is drawn.

Hi and thank you for your question on PetCoach! From the pictures (cute by the way), I would say Eli may be a Bichon Frise or Bichon Frise mix. You can find out exactly what Eli is through genetic testing. It is a little expensive but is interesting and that way you can know for sure. What a cutie! She is not a single breed I recognize so I would suspect she is a mixture of two or more breeds. Based on her appearance I would suspect spaniel of some kind (possibly cavalier king charles spaniel) possibly with a small australian sheperd or border collie. Your notes however say she is only 4 pounds and if that is truly the case then I would suspect a long haired chihuahua mix. There are genetic tests available to help identify the breeds if you are truly wanting to know.
