Is my puppy a Pomeranian mix? How can I identify its true breed?

The puppy is very young so it would be hard to tell. It's possible it could be a mixed breed with some sort of collie in it from the coloration, however many breeds have that same coloration so it would be impossible to know. If you know the mother or father, you can determine breed better by that. There are also saliva DNA tests that can be used to determine the breed of a dog. Most veterinary clinics and even some pet stores will carry these and are very simple to use if you are very curious.

Regardless of his breed, Bruno is adorable! :-) From the photos, he does not appear to be a purebred Pomeranian to me. My best guess would be a Pomeranian-Corgi-Jack Russell terrier mix. If you want to determine his breed with more precision, you can look into a DNA test, such as a Wisdom Panel.
