Are hot feet and hiccups normal for a 9-week German Shepherd puppy?

Hiccups are normal in puppies and usually occur when they get tired. They will outgrow this! A cough can be nothing. Yes, it is normal for them to breathe fast, twitch and even vocalize in their sleep. As long as he is normal when awake there is no concern. The nose can normally have a little watery discharge from time to time. If he starts to sneeze frequently or has mucous discharge, then this would indicate a problem like infection or allergies. His skin can feel warm for a variety of different reasons, depending on where you are feeling, the temperature of the surrounding environment, etc. - this is not a reliable indicator of whether or not a fever is present. Puppy hiccups are quite common and typically become less frequent with age. Often this is due to gulping air with excitement or eating/drinking to fast. If the latter is the case you can try feeding on a plate with a cup or rock in the middle to make her eat around it thus slowing her down. Roxy looks like a very sweet, normal and healthy pup! I would not worry about the shivering--puppies can make strange noises and do odd behaviors right before sleeping and then as they wake up from a nap, and this is all part of normal behavior. Hiccups are very common in young puppies and nothing to worry about. As far as potty training goes, you can either continue to train her like you normally would and just brave the cold, or you can train her to potty pads and the slowly transition her to outdoors when it warms up.
