Are these colors normal for a German Shepherd? Does it look purebred?

Looks can be deceiving but these photos do look like purebred dogs. It’s hard to say if they are working or show lines. I recommend to call the breeder as they are most familiar with their bloodlines. You can also contact the breed club as they likely have excellent resources. I recommend that he sees a veterinarian to have an overall assessment including baseline laboratory work. I hope this information helps!

Spring certainly looks like he could be a purebred German Shepherd. He's a very handsome boy! If his breeder did not have any paperwork to prove that he is purebred, then the only way to find out for sure would be to have a DNA test done. This can be done from a cheek swab, or from a blood sample taken by your vet. From the little I see, Teddy does look purebred. His ears may come up later, or not at all. Keep in mind, though, that there is such a thing as a prepotent stud, which means that the father passes just about all of his traits to his puppies. If that's the case here, the father may be a purebred German Shepherd Dog, and the mom a GSD mix or something else. It would help to have profile photos of Teddy standing.

He does look well bred. I would compare his legs to the others in the litter to see if his bones are thicker than theirs, and again compare the coat length and thickness also. They look like German Shepard puppies. If they are purebred they should have registration papers on both the father and mother. Once they register the litter they should give you papers so you can register your puppy. If they do not have papers then there is a good chance that they are not purebred German Shepard puppies.
