What are these red bumps on my 8-week French bulldog puppy's ears?

I am sorry to hear about your concern for your pup. This looks like papules or a miliary dermatitis. We could see these from a variety of causes ranging from parasites of the skin such as mites, to allergies, to bacterial infection. If the spots aren't going away on their own in a day or two I would recommend an exam at his vet to help determine the cause of the lesions which will guide the treatment.

These kind of problems happen to some puppies and they often go away once the puppy gets older. You could try and use antibiotic cream or ointment on the skin for 7-10 days - it will likely help. However, the skin problem may come back a few weeks later.

Breeds like French Bulldogs, Boxers and English Bulldogs are prone to skin abnormalities around their muzzles. They can have issues with acne, infected hair follicles, ingrown hairs and sometimes even allergies. Jack has some pretty big lesions so I recommend to have him checked out by his veterinarian as he may need systemic medication to address inflammation and possibly infection. Talk to the doctor about topical treatment that you can provide on a routine basis. Keeping his muzzle clean and dry will also help to prevent this moving forward. This is typically accompanied by shaking of the head, scratching the ears and discharge coming from the ears. If this is not the case, an allergic reaction could be to blame. These bumps can be caused by fly or mosquito bites, allergies/hives, or infection. You can apply a benadryl cream to the ears, but if it gets worse or more bumps appear within the next 24 hours, I recommend that Barret be checked out by a veterinarian.

These bumps in Boomer's ears could be caused by ear mites, impetigo (bacterial infection on the ears), or allergies (less likely to happen in a 16 week old puppy. I would have him seen by a vet today or tomorrow to have his ear examined. The vet can diagnose what is causing the bumps and can prescribe treatment for it.
