Bruno is old enough for a puppy formulated dog food. Brands I recommend including Royal Canin, Hill's Science Diet, Purina ProPlan, and Iams. To help him wean and to get used to dry food, I would soak a high quality puppy formulated dry food in warm water until soft. Then mix that with puppy formula such as KMR to make a mush the consistency of oatmeal. Royal canin is a great food! If you have some of the old food left I would mix The old food with the new food for about 10 days. You will want to start out with mostly old food and small amount of new food for the first few days and then gradually add more new food. By day 5-6, you should be at 50:50 of old:new dog food. After that you will slowly decrease the amount of old food until you are just giving the new food. For his size, he should get about 3 cups of the new food when you are switched completely over.
