Why are my dog's eyes yellow and urine dark? Should I worry?

I'm sure she would be happy to discuss your concerns with Luffy. As far as the eye discharge goes, I would start by rinsing the eyes with a saline solution twice a day. This can be purchased in most grocery or drug stores near the contact lens supplies. Or you can purchase online here: https://www.drsfostersmith.com/product/prod_display.cfm?pcatid=18563 If the discharge becomes green or yellow, or the eyes appear painful (squinting), then I strongly encourage a visit to your veterinarian to make sure nothing concerning is going on. Dark yellow urine is very normal and a sign that the kidneys are functioning well. If you think Luffy isn't drinking enough you can always add water to the food, but dark, concerntrated urine is quite normal.

That can be seen in patients with advanced lymphoma in the liver. If he is rapidly declining it may be best to have him seen today by your local emergency clinic to try to prevent suffering. Maggie is very ill and needs to see a veterinarian right away. The yellow color could be because she has liver disease or she has a red blood cell disorder going on. She needs to have bloodwork and xrays done as soon as possible to figure out what is wrong and help her to feel better.

This could be due to an eye injury or conditions such as a corneal laceration, corneal ulcer, uveitis, conjunctivitis, dry eye (also known as KCS), among many other conditions. Hi, thanks for using Petco Pet Education Center, formerly Petcoach! If Shiro isn’t holding the eye closed or acting painful and there isn’t yellow-green discharge you can just monitor the eye. It could simply be allergies. If the eye is painful he sadly should be seen to make sure their isn’t a scratch, uveitis or glaucoma. I hope this help and I hope you have a good holiday!

Hello and thank you for contacting Petco Pet Education Center, formerly Petcoach. The cornea in the left eye looks very abnormal. I suspect this a corneal ulcer but it is hard to be sure without full clinical examination. The right eye does not look as bad but there is also abnormal looking cornea. Please, take Rey to your local vets taking all the necessary precautions against Covid-19. She should be seen by a vet right away.
