Why are there yellow dots in my dog's poop? Should I be concerned?

It does look like this could be undigested rice. If you are giving her a broad-spectrum dewormer that kills tapeworms on a regular schedule, then it should be keeping her free of those. If you want to be sure that she is free of parasites or if these spots in her stool continue, I would recommend having a fecal exam done. Yellow specks can be worm eggs or can be related to something he may have eaten but not digested. If his stool was not checked for worms due to the diarrhea, I recommend to have it checked for parasites. Best of luck

It looks like Starky got into either some food that was yellow and bean-like, or that he ate something that is fibrous, as it almost looks like wool. Without being able to feel it to see how it breaks apart it is hard to tell from the picture. You could bring the feces to the vet to have them look at it, however if Starky is doing well, I would just monitor his feces for now, and make sure he isn't vomiting. Best of luck with Starky!

I can see that some of this stool looks a little yellow and that there might be some foreign material, but otherwise it looks formed and I don't see anything concerning like blood or mucous. As long as Bo isn't straining to defecate, vomiting or not eating as well I wouldn't be concerned about his stool. The makeup probably isn't to blame since I would expect you to see changes a day or two after it was ingested, not a week later.

I'm sorry to hear that Bullet is having trouble with his bowel movements. There are some reasons that he would have mucoid/yellow colored diarrhea. He could have dietary indiscretion causing gastroenteritis (eating something that didn't agree with him), intestinal parasites or something more systemic. If your dog is not eating, acting lethargic and having diarrhea or anything else concerning, I would take him to your veterinarian to get a full check up. If your dog is eating and doing well otherwise, you can try some supportive care at home such as a bland diet (boiled chicken and rice) and see if his stools become more normal. If so, you can continue the diet for 2-3 days and slowly transition him back to his normal food. If he does not get better, I recommend taking him to your veterinarian.

Hi there Persistent diarrhea is one thing we take pretty seriously in our pets. It would be helpful to know if Winnie has been dewormed lately and if she has been vaccinated. Your vet will likely need to do a fecal exam to make sure what you are describing isn't parasites, first and foremost.
