My dog has yellow balls in her poop after diarrhea. What is it?

Yellow specks can be worm eggs or can be related to something he may have eaten but not digested. If his stool was not checked for worms due to the diarrhea, I recommend to have it checked for parasites. Best of luck

I wouldn’t be worried about the color of kiwi s stool at all. The color can vary significantly, especially when new foods and treats are added. If she starts straining while having a bowel movement, or if she develops a poor appetite, diarrhea or weight loss then I would have her evaluated by her veterinarian. I love her name!! Penelope may have worms which is common in young puppies. If she is showing signs of being unwell with these signs then I would recommend making an appointment with your veterinarian. If you provide your veterinarian with a sample they will be able to check it for parasites and other possible infections and provide you with a suitable deworming regime.

This sounds like at this point Billy should really see your vet to have his stool checked for parasitse. Not all preventatives will cover all types of worms that pets can get, so it is best to have this checked. Most preventatives will prevent only 2-3 potentialy worms that pets can get. Until you can get Billy in to be seen by your vet it is best to offer him 1-2 tsp of canned pumpkin (not the pie filling) to help solidify his stools and also a probiotic (Culturelle over the counter wokrs well) daily to help stabilize the stools. Most pets with loose stool like this will need a short course of antibiotics, so it is best to get him seen by your vet on Monday if the stool is still abnormal. The good news is that these yellow dots don't look like any intestinal parasite that's visible with the naked eye. My best guess is that your dog recently ate something relatively fibrous, like plant material, rice, or another vegetable that passed through the stool reasonably unchanged. As long as your dog isn't experiencing any changes in their appetite or energy level, or any vomiting, then I don't see any cause for concern. If this continues, you can always ask your vet to submit a stool sample to a reference lab for further evaluation.

Hi there! Poor Prince! So the short answer is no, this is not normal. If Prince seems to be getting worse since the chicken and rice it is time for him to be seen by a veterinarian. Without actually seeing these white balls it is difficult to tell you what it could be. Because Prince is a lab and they will eat literally anything, we can't rule out the possibility that he ate something he shouldn't have. You can try starting over by fasting Prince for 12-24hrs and then reintroducing the chicken and rice, but if his symptoms continue to worsen (I.e. Frequent vomiting, excessive diarrhea, straining to defecate, bloody stool, and/of change in behavior Prince needs should be seen on an emergency basis. Hopefully Prince gets better soon. Hello, and thank you for your question. Was Riku re-tested for worms after the treatment for helminths was finished? I would make sure to do that to confirm whether the worms were completely treated or not. Ongoing worms may be a cause of persistent diarrhea. I would recommend having Riku re-assessed by the vet within the next 24 hours if her diarrhea has not stopped by then. In the meantime, I would continue offering small frequent meals of boiled chicken and plain white rice. This may help to clear our her digestive tract.
