I would not give him another dose so quickly, since most of it is on him, just not in the location you were aiming for. You can however, safely repeat the Revolution in 2 weeks time, to ensure he is fully covered and protected. If you do happen to notice any fleas in the meantime, you can safely give him a Capstar tablet for emergency flea relief, which can be found at your local pet store. Colby should be fine, especially since you washed it off quickly. I would probably wait two weeks to apply his Revolution. Watch him for any side effects like neurological issues, vomiting or seizures just in case. I hope this helps.

Since Frontline Plus and Revolution are 2 totally different products, you can apply the Revolution now and not wait until the full month is done. You shouldn't see any problems and if you do, I would advise calling your vet. Very occasionally cats and dogs will have problems with one topical product and not another. Just make sure that you apply it correctly right up over the neck where Negrito can't lick it off as soon as it is applied. Good luck and I hope Revolution works well for him. I do believe we are starting to see some problems with Frontline as I have witnessed the same problem last summer when using Frontline.

I would refrain from reapplying this topical product, because you cannot be sure how much of it was rinsed off and it is best to not overdose him. Also the biting and scratching can be normal for any pet that has just received flea preventative if there was a large infestation of fleas. The "itch cascade" as we call it can last even after the parasites are gone, and often pets require a short course of steroids or a steroid shot to stop the itch completely. Your best option at this point, if you still see evidence of fleas or ticks, is to follow up with a medication called Capstar. This is the only flea ridding product that can be used in conjunction with topical flea preventatives, because it does not last in the pets system very long. You can safely redose the Pet armour in 2 weeks time. However I will say I am not a fan of this product and find there are better, more effective ones on the market. For instance, Bravecto, Nexgard, Advantage Multi, just to name a few.

If you have a flea infestation in your house or yard it will be harder for the Revolution to be fully effective. Make sure you vacuum regularly, and treat the other pets in the household as well as the yard if that is practical. I use a flea comb dipped in soapy water to catch the fleas on Dexter. You’ll find that the fleas are slower than normal because they are dying. If you are consistent with your flea control in the house, other pets, and yard and use Revolution monthly as directed the fleas should all be gone in several weeks. Not a good idea. Try putting a t-shirt on her for an hour or so until the skin absorbed most. Or you can put an e-collar on her for a little while, if you have one. I cannot tell you if it still will work when it is ingested, but since it is an avermectin it may. Watch for fleas. If fleas show up much earlier than the time it is supposed to last then it is not working. You can repeat the application about 2 weeks from now, if needed. She should be ok even if she ingests it.

Hi, thanks for using Petco Pet Education Center, formerly Petcoach! Revolution can be applied every 4 weeks. There is also Bravecto which is a topical that lasts 3 months. The Seresto collar lasts 8 months and comfortis is a monthly pill. For the last 2 there is no application error which is nice. Otherwise, part the fur to the skin and apply the contents of the Revolution to that spot and then put the hair back. It is normal for some of the liquid to go down over the hair. Maybe try the base of her skull or shoulder blade area so it doesn't go down the sides. I hope this helps!
