My dog vomited all night and another lost consciousness. Poison?

Hi, thanks for using Petco Pet Education Center, formerly Petcoach! Poor Kohel! Is there a chance that he could have gotten in to Marijuana? I agree it does sound like he could have gotten in to a toxin. Be sure that he didn't have access to anti-freeze. If there is ANY chance he could have it is deadly and immediate intervention is needed. The best thing for both dogs is to be seen at an Emergency hospital. It is best to be safe and proactive since you do not know what they could have gotten in to. I hope this helps and I wish you and both your dogs the very best!

That's not normal at all, and it seems a bit severe to lose consciousness over indigestion. I supposed if Pisty was vomiting hard enough, it could trigger a vagal response and subsequent loss of consciousness. I'd take her into another vet for a second opinion.

This is very suspicious. This sounds like the dogs ingested something poisonous, possibly anti-freeze or other chemicals. I would inform the local police about possible poisoning of all these dogs. Should your neighbor's dog die, it will be advisable to have a post mortem done to verify the cause of death.

This sounds very serious unfortunately. The first thing that comes to mind is if she got in to a toxin or medication. I would take her to the ER right away and if she did get in to something, take that with you. She will need immediate care

Hello, sorry to hear about Fuzzy. It sounds like she may have had a seizure and may be continuing to have mild forms of seizures. If Fuzzy continues to have these signs, she should be seen by a veterinarian as she may need to have medications and diagnostics to determine why she is suddenly having these events. Pokey sounds very ill and needs immediate veterinary treatment. This could be from poison or more likely an infection, metabolic problem or cancer. She definitely needs IV fluids to prevent dehydration which can become life threatening. In general with most poisons they would die quickly. Since this has been going on for a few days there is a good chance with proper treatment she could recover quickly. These are concerning signs of a possible intoxication. Immediate check up is required to treat the signs and reduce as much as possible absorption. Metaldehyde (used in snail poison) and intoxication from a long list of other substances can cause these signs. I am afraid it is impossible to be more specific than that.
