My dog vomited his morning food. It looks like it had not been chewed. Is it okay to give him plain yogurt to help settle his tummy or is there anything i can give him? His tummy is making noises.

No, I don't recommend it. It's a human medication not labeled for us in dogs, and it's not a treatment for an upset stomach anyway. I can give you a home remedy to try to see if that helps. Withhold food for 6-8 hours, then feed a bland diet of boiled white meat chicken (no bones) and white rice in small amounts several times a day for a couple of days. Then slowly add back in his normal diet. If he vomits in the absence of food, he vomits the bland diet, develops diarrhea, stops drinking water, starts vomiting water, or becomes very lethargic, he will need to see a vet right away. Best of luck, I hope this helps!

You may try feeding Lucky a bland diet of boiled white meat chicken and boiled white rice. This should all be playing. If it does not help after 24 hours, it is unlikely to change anything and Lucky needs to be examined by the veterinarian. I hope this helps and please feel free to post any additional questions.

This is a very common question fortunately. Try something like fasting your pup for 12-24 hours then feeding 2-3 days of plain boiled chicken / hamburger rice. You might also think about obtaining a probiotic from a pet store. There are several reputable brands. Hope this helps.
