My dog has an upset stomach. Can yogurt help or make it worse?

Hello. Yes, you can give Priat some plain yogurt to see if this helps to settle his stomach. You also want to feed him a bland diet of 25% boiled chicken & 75% white rice or low fat cottage cheese. Feed him only small amounts ( no more than a cup ) every 3-4 hours until you are sure he is no longer vomiting. Hopefully, this is just a case of acute gastritis & most pets are feeling better in 12-24 hours. If not, please see your veterinarian for further diagnostics & treatments. Withhold food for 12 hours, then feed a bland diet of boiled white meat chicken (no bones) and white rice in small amounts several times a day for a couple of days. Then slowly add back in his normal diet. If the diarrhea continues on the bland diet, he starts vomiting food, stops drinking water, starts vomiting water, or becomes very lethargic, he will need to see a vet right away. Best of luck.

Then slowly add back in his normal diet. If he refuses to eat the bland diet, he vomits the bland diet, develops diarrhea, stops drinking water, starts vomiting water, or becomes very lethargic, he will need to see a vet right away. Stop giving her food like carne burritos and bologna. They are not healthy for her and cause GI upset. She doesn't need bread either.

Unfortunately, it could be the yogurt causing Kali's symptoms. It's never recommend to feed your dog diary products, as it causes GI upset. She might have eaten something spoiled that is causing this. withhold food for 12 hours then offer her boiled boneless chicken and rice every 6 hours in small portions. if she is eating and not vomiting, continue with this diet for 2 days. After 2 days, you can put her back gradually on her normal food. If she continues vomiting or is not eating, take her to the vet to get treatment.
