My dog's treats were in a hot plastic bottle. Are they safe?

Updated on September 23rd, 2025

Pet's info: Dog | Labrador Retriever | Male | 10 months and 23 days old | 51 lbs

Made dog a treat dispenser from 1 water bottle. Normal plastic bottle with a hole on the side. I filled it with dog biscuits and then used a hot knife to make the hole ( with the biscuits inside.) I'm concerned if the biscuits are safe to eat.

Hello! As long as your let the plastic cool down before offering the treat dispenser to Casper (so he doesn't get burner on accident), then the biscuits should be safe to consume. Thank you for using Petco Pet Education Center, formerly Petcoach!
