My dog's treats were in a hot plastic bottle. Are they safe?

I would recommend contacting the manufacturer of the treat. They will have first-hand knowledge of what is in the treats and how stable it is under those conditions. If you are not sure if the treats are safe then I would not feed them to your dog.

The glass jar may not seal as well as the original packaging in this case. I doubt that it would cause Chloe any harm to feed her these treats, as they are likely just stale. However, I agree that a general rule of thumb is that treats are best fed when they are fresh and able to be broken.

Thanks for using Petco Pet Education Center, formerly Petcoach. I don’t see anything overtly dangerous in them, though the green tea could have a little caffeine. In general, it probably didn’t hurt Cocoa but it’s not the best choice for a treat. Stick to dog treats in the future- especially if you’re not sure what something is because there are few things that are very dangerous to dogs (xylitol, macadamia nuts to name a few). The small amount of garlic powder in these treats is very unlikely enough to cause any problems. I would feel safe giving these to my dog. As with any treat, I would try to limit Isabelle's intake of treats to less than 10% of her daily calorie intake. These (and most) treats are high in calories (20 calories per treat!) so try to give them in small quantities, or even break them up into smaller pieces for training so she thinks she is getting more than she really is. Hi, thanks for using PetCoach! From what I can find out about these Rapid Relief gel packs is that the contents are not to be ingested but are non-toxic. If ingested by humans or dogs there is generally no concern excepts maybe some tummy upset. It doesn't contain anti-freeze. I would confirm though with poison control to be 100% sure. Hello. I am so sorry that Aura bit you, I guess he really wanted the sauce packet. It the packet was the size of the ones you get at fast food places, then it should pass with no problems, rubber band & all. Just watch for any lethargy, vomiting or inappetence. Thanks for visiting Petco Pet Education Center, formerly Petcoach! I wouldn't recommend allowing him to freely play with any items that are not considered safe dog toys, especially the spoon. You would be surprised what some dogs will swallow, creating not so fun foreign bodies that later need surgical removal. It's best to stick with his dog toys (Kongs, dog ropes, etc).
