IT could be both, try to buy a special bowl for him to eat slower (from any pet shop), don't let him go outside and play right after food to try and prevent this from happening. if it doesn't help - take him to the vet to get it checked and treated.

If he is still eating and drinking with no vomiting and playful then it may be from a tummy ache. If he seems to be panting heavily or trying to vomiting and not eating, then it is time to worry. Since he is so big, skipping a meal will not harm him and this may give his stomach a chance to rest.
