Updated on September 23rd, 2025

Pet's info: Dog | Mixed Breed | Female | unspayed | 7 months and 21 days old | 15 lbs

Sugar was feed 2 Beggin Bacon Strips & 2 little pieces of banana, she procesed to play happily tugging on her toy and shaking her head, after an hour alone in her cage i noticed she had thrown up some chunk of the banana and some other solid looking stuff, is this normal? Or should i be alarmed?

It's common for puppies and adult dogs to throw-up when they eat something that doesn't agree with their stomach. This can also happen when they exercise just after eating. I wouldn't be concerned unless she vomits three or more times, has any other signs of illness, or you notice blood in the vomit.

Otherwise, she should be fine. Give her stomach a rest for four or more hours and only feed a small amount at her next feeding. If she keeps that down, then you can feed her the normal amount of her food. For more information, I recommend you read the article at the link below.

I hope that and all is well with Sugar.
