Dog threw up undigested food. Should I re-feed or give a treat?

Poor Milo! If he is otherwise acting normal then you could withhold food for the day and see if the vomiting resolves. If so, then you could try a small amount of a bland diet, boiled chicken and white rice, this afternoon. Continue feeding the bland diet for a few days and the gradually transition back to his regular food. If the vomiting continues and/or he becomes lethargic then he needs to be examined by a vet for treatment. Your vet can take an x-ray, if needed, and then prescribe medications to help control the vomiting and make him feel better.

It's probably best to wait until dinner just in case his tummy is still a little upset. Monitor him closely for any continuing signs of illness. if this is just car sickness, he should be fine by dinner time. Try to keep him rested until then. Poor Marley! It could be the hot dog has upset his stomach, leading to the vomiting. I can give you a home remedy to try to see if that helps. Withhold food for 8 hours, then feed a bland diet of boiled white meat chicken (no bones) and white rice in small amounts several times a day for a couple of days. Then slowly add back in his normal diet. If the vomiting continues in the absence of food, he vomits the bland diet, develops diarrhea, stops drinking water, starts vomiting water, or becomes very lethargic, he will need to see a vet right away. If it was just one time, I wouldn't be too concerned about the vomit. If something isn't sitting well in their stomach you may notice some undigested food. If Roxy continues to vomit or becomes lethargic then I recommend taking her to a veterinarian to have her evaluated. It sounds as Milo is suffering from a gastrointestinal condition, possibly an infection. it could also be due to ingestion of a foreign body material. i would recommend taking him to the vet the first chance you get, he will need to be checked first, if the vet thinks it's a simple gastrointestinal infection he will need an anti vomiting injection, antibiotics and a special food for a few days in order to get better.
