My dog vomited from car sickness. Can I re-feed him his lunch?

I would wait a couple of hours before feeding him again. Give his stomach time to calm down. If he doesn't vomit again, give Milo a small amount of food and wait 20-30 minutes. If he doesn't vomit, give him a little more. If he vomits again, I recommend an exam by a vet to determine why he is vomiting. Good luck and kisses to Milo!

How long has it been since LIttle Boy ate? If it has been 2 hours, I would wait another 2-3 hours. If it has been 12 hours then he needs to see a veterinarian. Puppies glucose can drop drastically if they do not eat and they can have lethargy and seizures. I would try some wet puppy food. Start by just feeding a little of his normal food. You can feed a spoonful or two of food, wait two hours, then feed a little more if he's keeping that down. After that, you can feed as normal if he seems to be back to normal. I'm glad that Machin is doing better after being so sick! It is recommended to withhold food when a dog is vomiting. I'm not sure when Machin last vomited, but I would wait at least 12 hours from the time he last vomited before feeding him again. I would then feed a bland diet of boiled white meat chicken (no bones) and white rice in small amounts several times a day for a couple of days. Then slowly add back in his normal diet. If he starts vomiting again on the bland diet, then I would take him back into the vet.

My suspicion is this is probably more just from car sickness. If Nittany is acting otherwise normal then I would suggest feeding her a small bland meal (boiled chicken and sweet potato) later today and then resuming her normal diet tomorrow. Dogs with parvo usually have both vomiting and severe diarrhea so I think it's unlikely this is what is going on with Nittany. However, if her vomiting persists or diarrhea, lethargy or inappetance develops then you should schedule a visit with a veterinarian.

I would recommend withholding food from Shelley for 12-24 hours to allow her stomach to settle. She is probably sick from a combination of eating the fries and some car sickness. If she is still vomiting after withholding her food then you will have to take her to the vet. The vet can give her some medication for nausea and fluids if she has become dehydrated.

Unfortunately there are no OTC medications you can give him to settle his stomach, but I can give you a home remedy to see if that helps. If he refuses to eat the bland diet, he vomits the bland diet, develops diarrhea, stops drinking water, starts vomiting water, or becomes very lethargic, he will need to see a vet right away.
