My dog threw up undigested food. Is it serious? When to see a vet?

If Toby has only thrown up 1 maybe 2 times but is still eating,drinking and playing normally I would continue to monitor his behavior . If at anytime he starts vomiting more, acting lethargic, having diarrhea or not eating I would recommend taking him to a vet as soon as possible. It is possible that Toby ate something he should not or even had a mild upset stomach that caused him to get sick. IF he is acting normally but continues to occasionally vomit I would recommend switching his dog food because sometimes vomiting can be secondary to a food allergy. I hope that helps

I'm sorry Lizzie has been vomiting. Assuming she is acting normal otherwise, I would recommend holding her off of food for 24hrs. Be sure to provide her with plenty of fresh water so she does not become dehydrated. Hopefully resting her GI tract for a period of time. It sounds as Theodore is suffering from a gastrointestinal condition, possibly an infection. it could also be due to ingestion of a foreign body material. i would recommend taking him to the vet the first chance you get, he will need to be checked first, if the vet thinks it's a simple gastrointestinal infection he will need an anti vomiting injection, antibiotics and a special food for a few days in order to get better.

Poor Louis! There are many causes for continued vomiting. Certainly parasites like worms and giardia can cause frequent vomiting. Bacterial over growth is also common in younger dogs. Food allergies or intolerance are possible at his age. Lastly a more serious cause can include a partial intestinal obstruction. I recommend to have Louis visit his veterinarian for a physical exam and to rule out some of the more common causes. Treatment will depend on the cause and may include medications or a special diet.
