My dog's neck is swollen with red, oozing lumps. Is it an emergency?

These lumps are not typical of a flea allergy dermatitis. That typically is just a superficial rash with itching, hair loss, scabs, etc. These lumps are concerning. Your pet may have developed abscesses which are deeper infections that form pockets of pus or infectious fluid. This is worth a trip to the vet for a recheck. I do not feel that it is a life threatening emergency, but it should be addressed by your veterinarian as soon as regular business hours resume. Your pet may need prescription antibiotics, the lumps may need to be aspirated or checked with a needle and if they are full of pus, they should be drained. Please have your vet recheck him as soon as possible,

I wouldn’t consider it an emergency, but I would recommend taking Scout to the vet to have this evaluated. It could be a bacterial or fungal infection, mites, a small mass, etc. if you see her scratching at it, you may need to cover it with doggie clothes or an e-collar (depending on where it is located).

These lumps needs to be checked and analysed as there are many conditions and types of tumors that could look like that. take Scooby to the vet, they will perform a fine needle aspiration on the growth and send it to the lab for analysis. when the result comes, the vet will advise what needs to be done according to the diagnosis.

I would recommend that you have Scout examined by a vet. It could be a bacterial infection, ringworm, demodectic mange, or something else. The vet will probably do a skin scrape to see what organism is causing the hair loss so that she can get appropriate treatment.

Poor Jett! I'm worried that she is having some kind of allergic reaction. I would recommend having her seen by your vet as soon as possible. She probably needs some antihistamines and maybe some steroids for the redness and swelling. Since I see that you are in the UK, I'm worried that your vet may no longer be open. If they have previously given you a recommendation for an antihistamine like Benadryl, you could certainly give that tonight, but I wouldn't give it if your vet hasn't given you a dose for Jett previously. If Jett is having any swelling involving her face, or any problems swallowing or breathing, please take her to a vet immediately.

I see what you mean about the bumps on Lola! It looks like she could have hives, and that can be caused by an allergic reaction. I do recommend a visit to the ER vet now, as allergic reactions can quickly progress and cause serious problems such as respiratory distress.
