My dog swallowed a dental treat whole, acting fine. What should I do?

This should pass without problem, and will likely break down in the stomach with the stomach acid. Just keep an eye on him for vomiting, diarrhea, blood in the feces, anorexia, or lethargy. I do not see any need to worry at this time. If it was stuck in his throat, then he would be continually gagging and coughing. There is also not much of a chance it would be causing problems in the stomach or intestines, because these are digestible. Signs of a blockage are: not eating, not pooping, vomiting, and acting very depressed/painful. If you happen to see these signs, then this would warrant an urgent trip to the vet. Otherwise, he seems to be doing OK, so I wouldn't be concerned. I hope that helps and all is well with Coby.

It should dissolve in his stomach but you should monitor for vomiting and diarrhea. If you notice anything abnormal then he should be examined by a vet for treatment. You could buy a Kong toy for him and stuff it with treats. He won't be able to swollow the Kong.

You can monitor her closely for signs consistent with a gastrointestinal obstruction such as vomiting, nausea, inappetence and abdominal pain. If any of these signs are observed, have her evaluated by your veterinarian for further assessment and treatment as those may be indications of an obstruction. If he continues to show discomfort in the next few hours, I recommend you have him evaluated by a veterinarian for further assessment and treatment. Otherwise, he is likely going to be fine. Sounds like she got into quite the treat! Mocha may have a bit of an upset stomach after eating so much, so if she experiences any vomiting or diarrhea, you can pick up her food for a few hours and then offer her a bland meal of boiled rice and chicken to help settle her stomach (though if she ate a lot she may not be hungry for a bit!) Sometimes, dogs can eat these bones without chewing them which may cause choking or obstruction (they do digest over time), so watching out for any signs of problems such as attempting to vomit or defecate without success, coughing, choking, bloody vomiting or diarrhea, bloated abdomen, painful belly or walking hunched over is a good idea as they can indicate something more serious and urgent is onging. If she does show these signs, or seems pretty ill, seeking vet care in person is best.

This should not be a problem, however I would reduce his evening meal by approximately the amount of the treats. The worst that might happen is that your dog gets diarrhea or a tummy upset. If that happens, feed boiled white rice and white chicken for a day and then transition back to his normal food. Hide the treats on top of the kitchen cabinets!
