My dog fell from a chair. He's okay, but why is he suddenly sneezing?

Hachi's sneezing could be a caused by a couple of things such as an upper respiratory infection, environmental irritant (dust, pollen), or allergies for example. Given that he is otherwise acting normal, I would monitor him for now. Should the sneezing continue over the next couple of days, it increases in frequency, he starts coughing, his appetite decreases, he becomes lethargic, and/or there is a discharge from his nose or eyes, then I would take him into the vet for a health check. Poor pup. If the coughing continues, then your puppy likely has an upper airway infection, in which case you want to get this seen by your veterinarian. But if this is just an isolated incident that does not repeat itself, Bentley likely just got some kind of irritation to his airway from either an aerosolized irritant or foreign material. With a dog as young as he, my first guess would be a seed or bit of grass that he has sneezed into his nasal passage. Since he seems to be feeling okay otherwise I don't think he needs anything special done before he gets in to see the vet. If they don't find something else causing his sneezing, they may need to sedate him in order to explore his nasal passages for any sign of a foreign body.

Excessive sneezing like this could be a sign of foreign material in the nasal cavity (sometimes a piece of fluff or plant material can get stuck), or potentially a nasal polyp, tumor or infection. If this extreme sneezing continues I'd recommend having your vet examine Pilsner - they might recommend sedation for a nasal flush and exam.

Periodic sneezing can just be a sign of allergic rhinitis, especially if he is otherwise eating well and behavior hasn't changed. Contact your vet to see if there are some antihistamines that can be tried for now, then continue to monitor him to see if the sneezing improves over the next few days. I wouldn't be very concerned with what you are describing. It's likely that the vomiting was unrelated to the recent sneezing and I don't get too concerned about an occasional vomit as long as the dog is otherwise acting normal. The sneezing may be due to something irritating in the environment, or a minor infection. I would check to see if there are any new perfumes, diffusers, or other possible new smells that have been introduced to the household. I'm sorry Oliver hurt himself. He should be ok since he is acting normal. Monitor for a continued bleeding from the nose, dull mental state, vomiting, wobbly gait, tremors, or seizures. These would be signs of head trauma and Oliver should be seen right away.
