This is probably an upper respiratory infection, there are no remedies for that it usually resolves within 2 weeks without treatment, in some cases if it gets severe an antibiotic course would be needed.

If you are waiting until your regular vet opens, you can try putting her in the bathroom with a hot shower on to use the steam in the room to help break up the mucus. I would keep her in there for about 15-20 minutes 3-4 times today. It sounds like Peanut may have an upper respiratory infection. Another possibility is an infected tooth. If he's still suffering with the congestion on Friday, take him into the vet.

There is no specific treatment for a viral respiratory infection other than nursing care. However, Shelly's symptoms of clearing her throat with the discharge from her eyes could be something other than a viral respiratory infection - dogs don't get "colds" very often like people do, and I worry about the possibility of something more serious such as pneumonia, a tooth root abscess, or a heart condition, all of which could also cause either upper or lower respiratory congestion. If this has been going on more than a day or two, I recommend having Shelly seen by a vet. Your vet will do an exam, and will likely recommend chest x-rays if they have any concerns with the sound of her lungs or heart. First, you can try bringing him into the bathroom with you with the door closed while you take a hot shower - the steam and moisture often help to relieve nasal congestion. If he isn't eating and drinking well, you can also offer some low-sodium chicken or beef broth to encourage him to stay hydrated. A mild respiratory infection should resolve on its own within 7-14 days. If the problem goes on longer than this, or if he stops eating completely or becomes very lethargic, then there may not be any option except to take him to the vet since he may need prescription medication and supportive care such as IV fluids to help fight the infection.

Bloody nasal discharge is very concerning for a cancer, fungal infection or object lodged within the nose. A bacterial is possible but it doesn't generally get this bad and it usually effects both sides. Putting him in a steamy bathroom a couple times a day may help to loose things up in the nose and help it to drain better. An Omega 3 fatty acid can help improve the quality of the skin (make sure to get one for dogs). Keep the draining area very clean and always use something soft like a cotton ball to try to avoid the surrounding skin from getting infected. This pup should see the vet.
