My new puppy has ringworm. Will I get infected if I touch him?

Pet's info: Dog | Labrador Retriever | Male | unneutered | 2 months old | 6 lbs

We are rescuing a 8 week old lab puppy that has ringworm. If we let him at all will we get it? Can we not touch him without being infected

Great question! Ringworm is highly contagious. I would recommend using gloves when handling him and washing your hands well after. I would also recommend long sleeves and washing your clothes after handling him. With good hygiene you should be ok but I would take all precautions. Good luck and kisses to Keani (when he's no longer infectious) ;-)
