Why won't my active dog eat kibble and has greenish-yellow poop?

Unfortunately a diagnosis can’t be made on stool color alone. Testing for intestinal parasite, liver disease, and issues with intestinal absorption would be warranted. Barley and cottage cheese don’t make up a completely balanced diet, and the lack of certain minerals in the diet can lead to stool color changes. Once your vet has a better idea of what may be going in internally, they can recommend a special diet or have you consult a nutritionist to formulate a balanced homemade diet.

This can be caused by many factors including worms, a foreign object (ball, underwear, socks) that is bouncing around in his stomach, allergies to the food you are feeding, or problems with his guts including irritable bowel disease, pancreatic insufficiency, or other causes. I would recommend with starting with a dewormer, you can pick this up at your vet. If this doesn't work I would suggest bringing Kilo to the vet to have the feces tested and an exam of Kilo performed. Best of luck with Kilo.

Based on the fact that Teddy is acting normal, there may not be anything serious going on. I would recommend to have his stool checked for parasites including Giardia. These are easy tests and would account for the change in his stool character. If these tests are negative, you may choose to do nothing else except monitor him. Some parasites can be spread to people so it is worthwhile to have it checked out. I hope this answers your question!

You can try her on a bland diet of white meat and rice or Hill’ s gastro-intestinal formula for a couple of days, and some probiotics such as Canikur or Protekin Prokolin and see if things settle over the next 3-4 days. If she should still pass soft feaces then it’s best you bring in a feacal sample to your vet to be examined for parasites and bacteria.

Hello, sorry to hear about Bailee. When pets are having abnormal GI signs such as vomiting, diarrhea, and a decreased appetite then we can see different changes in coloration of their stool. You should continue to monitor these changes for worsening bowel movements or diarrhea, loss of appetite and vomiting. An infection should be ruled out. A diet change can help to improve stool quality if those tests are negative.
