Why does my dog have red eyes, breathing issues, and a past injury?

Without a physical exam, it is difficult to determine exactly what is wrong with him. The red eyes may indicate infection or inflammation, the elbows may be calloused from laying on rough surfaces, the breathing may be a respiratory issue or it could be cardiac in nature. The tumor may be just that, whether it is benign or malignant is unknowable without diagnostics. If you plan on keeping him, consider a visit to the local veterinary clinic or humane society where he could get an exam to diagnose his issues. Any treatment will depend on these diagnoses.

Poor Axle! This definitely sounds like a neck or back injury. They can tweak their back from running too fast or turning/jumping the wrong way. The lump on her side could be a benign skin growth, or a malignant tumor - I'm afraid there's no way to know just by looking. I would recommend taking Canela to the vet for an exam as soon as you are able to. He/she can check each of these issues and may recommend blood work, chest x-rays, or other diagnostic testing to help determine what's wrong and see what kind of treatment is needed.

A staffy is a brachycephalic breed, which means the snout is short, but the rest of the head did not get smaller. So the structures in his mouth stayed the same as if the head was longer. It would be hard to tell if the hiccup is normal or not without an exam, however if it happens frequently or is bothersome to Cesar having a vet take a look to rule out any potential causes is best. Dogs can have hiccups just like people, and it may be that he is gulping air or startled, leading to the behavior. The coughing is much more concerning and I would recommend having her examined as soon as possible if she is having ongoing coughing and difficulty breathing. Some conditions, such as heart disease, can cause coughing that is worse at night when the pet is laying down, so I would want to examine her, listen to her heart and lungs, and take an x-ray of her chest to determine just why she is coughing. Heart disease is not common in a 9 month old dog, but we would also want to check for things like congenital diaphragmatic hernias which could cause problems when she is laying down, or infections of the respiratory tract.
