My dog's eye is red after infection. Will his vision get better?

This could be a sign of infection, but it's difficult to say for sure without seeing it. Usually an infection is also swollen, red, warm to the touch and may have some pus discharge from it. If it fits that description or you are otherwise concerned, then it would be best to have Gotti rechecked by your vet. I hope that helps and Gotti gets better soon.

I'm assuming that the enterobacter bacteria was cultured from something like a corneal ulcer. This seems like an unusual bacteria for this location - enterobacter is most commonly found in urinary tract infections and occasionally skin infections. Since you know what type of bacteria is present I'm assuming your vet was also able to tailor antibiotic therapy to this specific bacteria as well and if so hopefully the infection will resolve. Sometimes there is irreversible damage done to the eyes and vision cannot return, and other times an infection heals and the eye recovers completely. I would recommend talking to your veterinarian about your concerns, or you could request a consultation with an expert if you have more details about Kitta's diagnosis.

It looks as Benji is suffering from an eye infection, it is relatively common in dogs. you will need to take him to the vet the first chance you get, the vet will check the eyes, if it is indeed a simple eye infection your vet will prescribe an antibiotic eye drops that will probably solve the problem in no time.

I can see that the sclera (white part of the eye) does look a little red in your last picture. This could be from trauma but can also be seen with conjunctivitis or even a corneal ulcer. Given Mitzer's breed I would recommend seeing a vet to make sure the cornea does not appear affected. They can also look at the lens and the back of the eye to make sure there is nothing abnormal that would cause a difference in the reflection from the back of the eye.

Bleu has such pretty eyes!! I would recommend a recheck with your vet now that some of the swelling and redness has resolved. There may be something additional going on that needs to be addressed, or perhaps she needs to receive a different type of eye drops. Be sure and ask your veterinarian to take a close look at Bleu’s eyelids-sometimes, especially in young growing dogs, the lower (and occasionally upper) eyelid can roll onwards and irritate the surface of the eye-This is called entropion and can require surgery to correct. Hello there! While probably not an emergency (unless Dodi appears to have discharge or discomfort), I do recommend that she is seen by a vet. Broken blood vessels in the sclera (white part) of the eye are not entirely uncommon in pop-eyed dogs like the Havanese (usually from stress or irritation), however it usually happens in one eye at a time. Dodi is a young dog, and I would not expect any serious conditions, however it is always best to contact a vet when it comes to strange eye issues as if there is a problem, they can get worse quickly. The vet will want to check for conjunctivitis and foreign objects, though I would expect that Dodi would be acting uncomfortable if either of these were the case. Poor Oreo! Bloodshot eyes and discharge (especially yellow or green discharge) or "eye boogers" are usually signs of an eye infection. Oreo will need prescription eye drops to treat the infection, so I would recommend taking him to the vet to have this checked as soon as you are able to. In the meantime, you can try rinsing his eyes with plain saline eye wash and using a warm washcloth to gently wipe away any discharge as often as needed. This will not treat the underlying problem, but may help to make Oreo a bit more comfortable until you are able to see the vet.
