My dog ran into the couch but seems fine. Should I worry about injury?

Pet's info: Dog | Chihuahua | Male | unneutered | 1 year and 10 months old | 13 lbs

So tonight while playing with his toy, tiny RAN into the couch, he didn’t cry, he didn’t even pay attention to what happened. He’s acting normal and drinking normal, even playing. He’s even jumping off the bed and couch. I touch him in all his places to see if anything hurts, nothing bothered him. Couch is kind of soft but definitely not really hard. Should he be fine? *areas circled are where he hit him self at*.

He should be just fine. If he was going to be injured you would know by now. I would not be too worried. Just keep a good eye on him and if he starts limping or acting sick then get him to your vet for an exam but honestly, I think he will just be fine. No worries!

My puppy fell off the couch. She seems fine, what to watch for?

Poor Naila! I'm glad to hear that she is playing and active after the fall. Fortunately, falling from the couch is a relatively short distance. At this point, since Naila is active with no signs of pain or injury, there is nothing you need to do. However, closely watch her over the next day or so to make sure she continues moving around normally, acting normally, and is eating and drinking appropriately. If you observe any changes, she should see a vet for an exam. I hope that all goes well!

It sounds like Bruno just banged his arm on something. While it is certainly possible he suffered an injury that requires attention, I think you should wait and see how he reacts over the next 24 hours. If he is not currently showing any symptoms of pain, it is likely that he simply injured himself in the equivalent way that maybe you or I would experience when we stub our toe or hit our funny bone. Dogs are a lot tougher than people. Lets give Bruno a chance and see how he does.

If he's acting fine then you haven't done any damage. Keep an eye on him just to be safe but dachshunds are tough little guys. If he does act as if he's sore, uncomfortable, or seems to be abnormally painful anywhere, call your vet to get him checked.

My dachshund puppy jumped off couch. Should I worry about his back?

Dachshunds can sure hurt their backs but honestly it is not that common to happen in a young 8 week old puppy. If he seems fine and not in pain then he is probably fine. When they injure their back they are very obviously in pain. If you are truly worried about Lenny there is no harm in having your vet check him out. My dog was hit by a remote. She yelped but seems fine. Should I worry?

Ouch, poor Mimi! Given that she's been acting normally and sleeping since, I would not be worried about it. It probably hurt her and startled her to get hit, but if she was seriously injured, there would be signs such as abnormal behavior, difficulty walking, and blood from her nose among others. She's likely fine, but if you are very concerned, it's certainly ok to have her checked out by a vet :-)
