My dog's poop has white layers. Should I worry after recent diarrhea?

While it is not normal I would not worry about that. It is possibly for eating something he was not supposed to that caused it. Unless there is blood or diarrhea or vomiting then there is nothing to do

If Cherry is feeling ok, eating well and acting normally I wouldn't worry too much. She may have eaten something she shouldn't have, like part of a bone or rocks, and these materials can look like what you're seeing in the stool. If she starts having vomiting or diarrhea issues, then she needs to see a vet.

This is likely not a big ordeal especially since she is acting Norma and the poop has been normal since but I would contact your vet to see if you could have her fecal checked to ensure she doesn't have any intestinal parasites that could be causing what sounds like mucus in her poop. Continue to monitor for any associated gastrointestinal signs like vomiting or diarrhea, If you feel the white specks you see are worms, consider bringing a fecal sample into your vet or deworming at home with something over the counter and broad spectrum like Panacur. This could be due to the presence of mucous coming from the last part the intestine. It may be compatible with colitis, which is an inflammation, usually dietary related. As a first approach, I would suggest to start feeding with a bland diet based on boiled chicken and rice in small portion every 6 hours for the following 48hours. Then gradually reintroduce the normal diet over 5 days. I would definitively recommend a veterinary check up if the signs persist or you notice diarrhoea, vomiting, lethargy or inappetence. I think it is completely unrelated to the bumps. It’s sort of hard to tell what the white thing in the stool is, however I wouldn’t be too concerned as long as he’s otherwise acting normally. It looks most like a bit of foreign material such as a piece of white crayon or something, especially if it was just the one relatively large piece of white stuff. If his stools get soft, if you are seeing increasing amounts of the white material in the stool, or he starts vomiting or acting ill, take him to your vet.
