Why is there white stuff in my dog's poop? Should I be worried?

I think it is completely unrelated to the bumps. It’s sort of hard to tell what the white thing in the stool is, however I wouldn’t be too concerned as long as he’s otherwise acting normally. It looks most like a bit of foreign material such as a piece of white crayon or something, especially if it was just the one relatively large piece of white stuff. If his stools get soft, if you are seeing increasing amounts of the white material in the stool, or he starts vomiting or acting ill, take him to your vet. If Cherry is feeling ok, eating well and acting normally I wouldn't worry too much. She may have eaten something she shouldn't have, like part of a bone or rocks, and these materials can look like what you're seeing in the stool. If she starts having vomiting or diarrhea issues, then she needs to see a vet.

I would not be worried about the look of this poop. It is from what she ate - probably the pear; dogs cannot digest those well. It is not worms or anything like that. It is best to not feed her anything but food/treats made for dogs - other items/human foods tend to upset their stomach.

This is likely not a big ordeal especially since she is acting Norma and the poop has been normal since but I would contact your vet to see if you could have her fecal checked to ensure she doesn't have any intestinal parasites that could be causing what sounds like mucus in her poop. If this continues then I would urge you to have her examined to find the cause. I hope this helps.

This is when the bile is retained in the blood which makes a dogs stools pale or putty colored. This can indicate an bile obstruction, liver or pancreatic disease. White stools can also be seen in dogs eating a raw food diet or a diet too high in calcium or if they ate something containing bone. If Gracie's stools continue to be white bring a sample and Gracie to the Vet for an exam. I wish you the best!

Sometimes a change in diet will cause the stool to change color. Sometimes a mild viral infection can also cause this but again, I would not worry unless she loses her appetite or becomes lethargic. That could be compatible with a disease of the liver, responsible for he pigments inside the feces. I would recommend to change diet for the next week, feeding with a bland diet based on chicken and rice. If signs persist a check up and blood tests at your local vets are required.
