Puppy recovering from parvo: Is fatigue, pain, and no poop normal?

Yes, this sounds like it's probably normal. Parvo is a serious disease, and it will take time for her to get her energy back and be fully recovered. As long as she is eating and drinking, and has not been vomiting, I would just give her some time. She should be back to her old self within the next few days :)

I'm very sorry that Rio has parvo, but it's good news that his appetite has increased and the consistence of his poop has increased. The tarry consistence does indicate bleeding in the upper GI tract, so he's not out of the woods yet. It does take some time for a dog to fully recover from parvo, and it can be weeks before a dog is back to normal. The acute phase is between 7-14 days. A sign of how well a dog is doing is how well he is eating. If he is eating and there is no vomiting and diarrhea, then the prognosis is good. Make sure he does stay hydrated because dehydration is the number one cause of death in these dogs. Offer Rio small amounts of Pediasure using a syringe or small turkey baster. Give any medications prescribed by the vet, and if he starts vomiting, his stool gets very bloody, he stops eating, or he becomes extremely lethargic, rush him back into a vet immediately. Poor Shadow! I'm glad he's getting treatment from the vet, and I hope he does recover. It's normal that he won't eat, as he's feeling pretty sick, and it may take him some time to want to eat again. As for the bowel movements, if he's not eating, there will be nothing for him to pass at the moment. Oftentimes when a dog is recovering from having diarrhea, they stop defecating for a a day or two. That is not a big concern. I am so glad to hear that Leo is getting better! Keep up the good work!

Yes it's quite normal, parvo is a very painful disease that makes them very weak and appetite may vary greatly for several days at the very least. you need to give it a day or two at least, as long as he is not vomiting that is the most important thing.

Clinical signs of good appetite, normal activity and mental status and no more vomiting or diarrhoea episodes are usually signs of good recovery. It sounds like Harley is not recovering very well. Extreme weakness is certainly something that requires an immediate veterinary check up at your local veterinarian. Yes, the diarrhea will persist for several days after parvo viral infections. More due to the fact that intestinal lining is what is affected from virus. It takes time for the lining to repair itself and for absorption to return to normal. Very black tarry stool indicates upper gastro-intestinal bleeding. It could be residual from stomach ulceration. If she has more black stool I would call your Vet and ask if that is the color of her diarrhea while she was hospitalized. They may want to add pepcid or another antacid if she isn't on one.
