My dog has parvo. Is pink poop from medicine or parvo itself?

Given that you have had an outbreak of parvo recently, if Kora is now having watery red poop, I would be be afraid she may have parvo as well if she isn't fully vaccinated. Parvo is highly contagious. Unfortunately you did not attach a picture of her poop, so I can't say if the red color of her poo is due to blood or not. I would take her into a vet immediately to have a parvo snap test done. This will diagnose if she does have parvo or not. If she does, she needs supportive treatment with the vet to have the best chance for her to survive. Best of luck, I hope this helps!

Black feces are concerning for digested blood. I recommend to collect a sample of the stool and take it into your veterinarian’s office for an example. They can determine if blood is present And if further action is needed. Best of luck and please feel free to post any additional questions.

Thanks for using Petco Pet Education Center, formerly Petcoach. From you picture it looks like Bear Bear may have eaten something pink, I do not think it is blood. Be sure to movitor him for any signs of vomiting or straining to defecate which could indicate an obstruction.

Please stop giving the carprofen in case that is causing the change in the stool. If Tria is otherwise normal you should be fine to wait until Monday. If she should have additional pink stool or she stops eating or starts vomiting then I would be concerned and take her in sooner. That is great Tumi is drinking water on his own. If he isn't vomiting, it sounds like he is on the road to recovery. The stools will take time to get better as parvo ruins the lining of the intestinal tract. The important things are to make sure he isn't vomiting and is eating and drinking. Hello. Puppies usually are very nauseous & will have a bloody diarrhea with Parvo virus infections, but do not usually vomit up blood. Severe intestinal parasite infestations can mimic parvo, especially with whipworms & hookworms, & there other possible causes for the symptoms including a severe bacterial gastritis, other viruses, toxins & ingestion of foreign objects. Hi, has Pixel been treated for worms ? If not, he will need to be treated. To answer your question, feaces don’t look like typicical for Parvo. I would not worry about it but perhaps have his feaces checked for Giardia and other feacal parasites. Hope this helps !
